Sami's Bio

My name is Sami Azzam and I am originally from Lebanon. I grew up enjoying electronics and computer games, and I chose to pursue an undergraduate degree in computer and communication engineering at the American University of Beirut. My academic thirst wasn’t fulfilled by undergraduate studies and I enrolled in an MS in computer engineering degree program at Southern Methodist University in Dallas Tx. The focus of this degree was on computer networks. After completing this degree I had the chance to work at Intel Corp. in Hillsboro OR as a graduate intern for 10 months during which I was introduced to and overwhelmed by the technical industry as a whole. After a very short time I was offered to join Microsoft as an SDET in the Windows Embedded team, and I felt that this is a great opportunity for me to be on the right track in my career path.

I have been working at Microsoft-Redmond for around half a year, and I have learned a lot from my teammates as well as from the vast learning resources that we have here at Microsoft. It hasn’t been much time since I’ve been in the area, but I’m already getting used to the weather, and of course to the excellent restaurants around the area.
