How do I find configurable components in Target Designer?

Faced with 11 000+ components in Target Designer it can be daunting to figure out which of these have configurable settings. Those are settings that can be tweaked in Target Designer before the runtime image is ever deployed to a device, which speeds up setup and customization of the device somewhat. The following list is all the components in XPe SP2 that can be configured by clicking on the component's "Settings" node after it has been added to a configuration:

Accessibility Control Panel
Automatic Logon Settings
Client/Server Runtime (Console)
Core Networking
Device Update Agent
DirectShow-DVD
**Display Adaptor components (Rage 128 Pro PCI, Matrox Graphics Millennium PCI etc.)
El Torito CD
Enhanced Write Filter
Error Reporting
**HAL components (ACPI Uniprocessor, Standard PC etc.)
HTML Help Engine
Internet Explorer
Internet Gateway Discovery and Control Server
Language Support (English, Finnish, Japanese etc.)
Lightweight Directory Access Protocol client
Regional and Language Options
Search Assistant User Interface
System Restore Core
Telnet Server
Terminal Services Core
Text Services Framework
User Interface Core
Windows .Net Messenger
Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS)
Windows Logon (Standard)
Windows Media Player 9.0 Skins
Windows Update Agent
Windows XP Explorer User Interface
WMI Core

In addition to the list above, other settings such as Product Identification Key, partition to deploy the runtime to etc. can be set by clicking on the "Settings" node right at the top of the configuration (under the slx name).

There are also a number of macro components. These all settings that allow the customer to select or deselect various components that are part of a wider functional grouping. Macro components are easily distinguishable because they are in bold font.

Two components have configurable settings that are not intuitively exposed, these are Administrator Account and User Account components. To set a user name or password in these components click the "Advanced" button in the right pane and enter the information in the "Advanced Component Properties" window.
