HP Slate is it on or off?

I am really hoping HP comes thru with the slate fast.  I have been waiting for a long time for the next generation Windows tablet (nope, I don't want an iPad). I am not a fan of the Apple OS.  Call me a fanboy if you like, I simply like Windows better.

The news article from news.com has shaken my confidence that something will happen before summer is in full swing.  Maybe Dell, Acer or Lenovo will come to my rescue.
