A new document describing how a Microsoft partner can sign up for a Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Subscription on Behalf of a Customer has been posted to PartnerSource.  By following this process, partners can ensure they are designated as the Partner of Record prior to transferring ownership of the Online Subscription to a customer.  This document is currently relevant to partners working with US and Canada customers as the CRM Online service is currently only available in these two countries.

How a Partner Can Sign Up for a Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Subscription on Behalf of a Customer

As a Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online partner, you can help your customer sign up for a Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online subscription.  You can customize and set up their organization for them, and reduce their effort to get started.  After signing up, you can designate your company as the customer’s Partner of Record (POR). As the POR, you and your customer can take full advantage of your partnership with Microsoft. 

This document describes in detail the three tasks your partner company must complete to sign up with Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online on behalf of your customer.
