Notification of Increased SPA Certification Requirements - Effective January 1, 2011

A very important announcement was made recently regarding upcoming changes to the Microsoft Dynamics SPA and certification requirements. The changes take place officially on January 1, 2011. This gives partners plenty of lead time to ensure you are on par with the adjustments. Full details below...

As per the rules of the Solution Provider Agreement (SPA), we hereby provide Partners with the required advanced notification that the certification requirements to be an authorized SPA partner will change, with an effective date of 1 January, 2011. This change is effective on 1 January, 2011, regardless of the end-date of Partners’ SPA term.

As of 1 January, 2011, the following requirements will be added to the current certification requirements (which are available in the SPA Guide):

  • Partners need to have a minimum of two individuals who collectively meet the stipulated certifications for the solution(s) they are authorized for.
  • All Microsoft Dynamics Solution authorizations will require a new Dynamics methodology implementation exam (Managing Microsoft Dynamics Implementations MB5-858)
  • Partners who are authorized for Microsoft Dynamics SL and Microsoft Dynamics GP, will be required to pass the exam for Microsoft SQL Server, Implementation and Maintenance (70-431 or 70-432)
