Support Debugging Tool for Microsoft Dynamics GP Released

Fantastic news for the all the partner consultants and developers in the Dynamics GP community.

I first would like to say Thank You to David Musgrave, Escalation Engineer for Dynamics GP who built this tool. As I promoted before Dave has a Developing for Dynamics GP Blog, GP Delvelopers Blog, so please visit and set-up a RSS Feed as well.

The Support Debugging Tool for Microsoft Dynamics GP has now been released on PartnerSource for versions 8.0, 9.0 and 10.0.

The tool is designed to use Dexterity triggers to watch for incorrect data appearing in a table, and then provide Dexterity and SQL logs of the activity leading up to the point when the incorrect data was saved. This tool was able to resolve a year old support case within a few days of being deployed.  That was build 1 of what was then called the MBS Support Debugging Tool.

Since then, the functionality of the tool has been improved and added to and now we have build 9 of the tool. This build has been made available to the partner community, at no charge, for their use in helping to support the Microsoft Dynamics GP application.  You can freely install the tool at your customer's sites so it is ready and available when needed.  The tool is completely passive once installed unless it is asked to perform actions. If you are a customer and wish install the tool on your system, please discuss obtaining the tool with your partner.
