Management Reporter AX 2012 Provider – Now Available!

I’m pleased to announce that the Management Reporter AX 2012 Provider has been released! The provider is the communication mechanism between Management Reporter and AX 2012. The provider pulls the financial information stored in AX, into Management Reporter for report design and report generation. Some of the integration points are: Accounts, Dimensions, Fiscal Periods, Posting Layers, Account Categories, Actual GL Data, Budget Data, and Adjustments.

                                          

Listed below are just a few of the many features included in this release:

 

  • Report on Custom or Entity Backed dimensions

 

  • Build reports based on the Total Accounts created in AX 2012

 

  • Create Actual vs. Budget reports     

                                

  • Include additional account or transaction level information such as:

Account Type Budget Model

Company Group Account Currency Code

Document Date Document Number

Further Posting Type Journal Number

Ledger Closing Main Account Category

Payment Reference Posting Layer

Price Quantity

Source Document Transaction Apply Date

Transaction Description Transaction Code

Transaction Number Voucher

The following pre-requisites must be installed to use the AX 2012 provider:

Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 .NET Business Connector

The Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 .NET Business Connector must be installed on the same computer(s) where the Management Reporter application service and process services are installed.

 

Cumulative Update 1 for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

This update must be installed on the same computer(s) where the Management Reporter application service and process services are installed. Note: This update does not require the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 client, but it can be applied to the .NET Business Connector listed above.

 

Management Reporter server components (Service Pack 2)
