Introducing Steve Sheppard and his series on SharePoint Performance

Steve is one of the lead Escalation Engineers on my team.  This generally represents the highest technical level within Microsoft product support .  He has joined the SharePoint blogging community with a series of posts on SharePoint v3 performance optimization.  Steve has done a significant amount of work in this area recently as well as many other areas of SharePoint (you may remember the Explorer View whitepaper)--I am for one looking forward to what else he writes up for us to read.  As an EE--know that Steve solves the toughest problems that are presented to Microsoft with regards to SharePoint.  In particular, recently Steve has spent a large amount of time working very deep in the area of performance tuning.  Steve is going to write his blog with a focus on showing how to troubleshoot as he goes through his various topics.  This should give him some rather unique perspective and make some interesting reading that you are not likely to find anywhere else.  Speaking firsthand, the type of work EEs do keeps us really busy, but I hope you will find that the quality of the content coming from our team is worth the less frequent posts.  Enjoy!
