 The University of Pisa will be hosting a one-day workshop entitled F# for Education and Innovation on Tuesday 28th June 2012.  Please join us there!

The workshop is preceded by an optional Introduction to F# Tutorial, run by Antonio Cisternino at the University of Pisa, on 27th June 2012.

 

Topics at the workshop will include Strongly-Typed Programming for the Information-Rich World, Why F# for Finance, F# for Computer Science Education, F# for Science and Engineering, Parallel Programming with F# , and Research Experiments with F# .

Workshop aims

The F# in Education and Innovation one-day workshop will be held at the University of Pisa on Thursday 28th June 2012. The workshop provides a forum for attendees to learn and explore the use of F# 3.0 for education, research and in industry.

Topics include:

  • F# for computer science, science and engineering education;
  • F# in financial computing;
  • Latest developments in F# 3.0 for information-rich programming, delivered through Visual Studio 11 and Try F# 3.0.

The workshop will conclude with a panel session discussing F# adoption in academia and industry.
