M-Brace - F# in the Cloud

Nessos Information Technologies have recently given a talk at SkillsMatter on M-Brace called M-Brace - F# in the Cloud. George Stavroulakis writes:

We would like to thank you once again for hooking us up with F# community in London. Everything was great at SkillsMatter and the crowd seemed quite enthusiastic with respect to M-Brace and its monadic approach to cloud computing. For your information, you can find the presentation at: <skillsmatter.com/podcast/nosql/f-in-the-cloud>

This talk will be of interest for those looking at F# and parallel cloud computing. Carolyn Miller writes:

At this evening’s F#unctional Londoners meet-up we got a preview from the really friendly and switched-on guys at Nessos of their M-Brace framework for cloud computing. Developed in F#, it enables the distribution of F# computations to the cloud via their very cool cloud monad . Check out their presentation slides (podcast to follow soon on the Skills Matter site) for some compelling code examples – a map-reduce implementation is included. Highlights include local debugging capabilities, solid fault tolerance and – obviously – the power to write F# programs for the cloud without all the boiler-plate code. ...the framework is still under development, but they are looking to begin beta testing soon and are looking for candidates – sign-up at <www.m-brace.net>
