Configuration Issues with Release Management 2013(up to update 2) on Turkey regional settings based machines

Problem Description:

You may issue while configuring Release Management 2013 (up to update2) on Turkey regional setting based machines.

Error message:Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Release.CommonConfiguration.ConfigurationException:
Release Management database configuration failed. Delete the database and try again. Error: Unknown On Error mode 'EXİT' on line 29 ---> System.InvalidOperationException: Unknown On Error mode 'EXİT' on line 29

 

Resolution:  

1. Install RM server 2013. This will go through fine without any issue even on Turkish regional setting based machine.

2. Configure RM Server. Then you will get error mentioned here.
Closed the configuration dialog.

The error is: 2014/04/07, 16:15:13.223, Received Exception :
Microsoft.TeamFoundation.Release.CommonConfiguration.ConfigurationException:
Release Management database configuration failed. Delete the database and try again. Error: Unknown On Error mode 'EXİT' on line 29 --->
System.InvalidOperationException: Unknown On Error mode 'EXİT' on line 29

3. Now change the formatting in regional setting to ENU.

4. Then re-opened the RM Server configuration and it will passed.

5. Now you can set the regional setting to turkish back.
