Mono 2.6 and Moonlight 2 Released
Earlier this week marked the releases of Mono 2.6, an open source implementation of C# and the Common Language Runtime, as well as Moonlight 2, an open source implementation of Silverlight 2.
Mono 2.6 marks the first substantial implementation of a subset of WCF (essentially the subset defined by Silverlight) as well as many other libraries from .Net 3 and 3.5.
Moonlight 2 is a superset of Silverlight 2, containing all of the libraries in that release plus some of the features from Silverlight 3, such as the media pipeline and out-of-browser support.
