Welcome to An Architects Perspective, my new blog on blogs.msdn.com where I'll be posting about all things related to software architecture and software development.

You're probably wondering who I am?

I have just joined Microsoft as a Senior Architect Evangelist within the Developer Platform Evangelism team at the Microsoft Silicon Valley campus in Mountain View, CA.

I have a Master's Degree in Software Engineering from Oxford University and before becoming a "blue badge" employee at Microsoft I was a software architect at Intel Corporation, a Visual C# MVP, and an Intel Black Belt Developer.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and four children; and I'm also an officer in the Civil Air Patrol / U.S. Air Force Auxiliary.

While at Intel Corporation I blogged on the Intel Software Network and I am excited to begin blogging here on MSDN and will soon be blogging about the emergence of Cloud Computing and the Windows Azure platform along with Visual Studio 2010, Windows Phone 7 SeriesSQL Server 2008 R2Silverlight 4.0, etc.

Wow, so many cool technologies coming to a computer near you!!!

Stay tuned for more posts from An Architects Perspective...
