Unix folks at MS

I am not the only one! :-)
From the MS Exchange team blog, I found this post:  https://blogs.msdn.com/exchange/archive/2005/02/21/377454.aspx
"[...] In case you were wondering, I still do my web serving off the OpenBSD machine.  Hey, I like Apache, I like Perl, and I like CGI scripts.  If I ever move to the IIS team, perhaps I'll rethink this, too. [...]"

Even if I sort of already knew this; there's a lot of people using different flavours of Unix in Microsoft, would you believe it ?
Of course some of them do it from a competitive standpoint ( https://interviews.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=05/02/15/1258244&tid=109&tid=163&tid=11&tid=218 ). But I believe that's also because a lot of people here are just technology-passionate people... on every technology, as long as it can run  :-)

And that's another thing I love in this company: everybody respects other people's ideas, and is open to discussion; we are allowed to make mistakes and to express our opinions. And this is not always easy to find these days.
