Welcome to my blog!

Hello and welcome to my brand new blog.

Ok ok I'm starting to get a bit too many of them aren't I?! :) :) But I'll keep this one to technical stuff after my intro.... or as technical as a Program Manager at Microsoft gets :)

I'm Dina Ayoub, I'm a 26 year old Egyptian woman that moved from Cairo, Egypt to Vancouver, Canada to work for Microsoft at the Microsoft Canada Development Centre (MCDC) as a Program Manager on Sharepoint - or more specifically Windows Sharepoint Services (WSS). I graduated from the American University in Cairo in Feb 2004 with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, and a minor in Business administration. After a short while I started a company with some colleagues, and then I started my own small software development company catering to Australian clients that wanted to outsource development. It was a dream of mine to join Microsoft, mostly because I am eager to create technology, and not only consume it as I did when creating solutions for my clients before. I also really want to be a part of creating software that shapes the world, helps people in their day to day lives, and delivers quality and power to millions of people around the world.

Edit: In October 2008, I've moved to Redmond, USA to work with my team on campus. i'm loving it!

 - If you want to know more about me and my move to MCDC you can check my personal blog at my "Dina Abroad" blog (in Arabic it is "dina fi belad el 3aga2eb" which translates to "Dina in Wonderland" - like Alice :)). This blog is mostly designed to keep in touch with my friends back home (in Egypt), and also to document this stage of my life as well - which is a big change for me.
