Adelaide Windows Vista and Office 2007 Evening Update – July 12th, please register!!

This month’s ADNUG session is all about Windows Vista and Office 2007 and is especially for people who missed out or couldn’t make the Windows Vista and Office 2007 Update on July 13th.

You’ll get to see and hear what’s exciting about Windows Vista, Office 2007 and SharePoint from an end users and developers perspective.

It’ll be a fun evening, it'll run for about 3 hours, the first half will be relevant to all, the second half most relevant to developers!!

Introduction to Windows Vista (6pm - John Pritchard)

The session introduces Windows Vista, the new desktop operating system to replace Windows XP. Windows Vista is the largest software development project from Microsoft and revolutionises the user security, deployment and management of the desktop operating system. Come along and see what everyone’s talking about!!

Introduction to what’s new in Office 2007 and Windows SharePoint Server 2007 (6:45pm Angus Logan)

The session will overview what’s new with the Office 2007 Clients and a technical overview of Windows SharePoint Server 2007 . This session will span collaboration, content management, search, forms (including Microsoft Office Infopath) and Business Intelligence (including Excel)

Building Next Generation User Experiences with Office 2007 and Windows Vista (7:45pm Charles Sterling)

Join Chuck as he walks through the next generation of User Interface experiences from Microsoft Office 2007 and Windows Vista. Windows Vista 2007 and Office 2007 will introduce a new way of working with software and this presentation will go through these new technologies and the tools that will enable building them. Demo’s to include the New Office 2007 User Interface, Windows Vista Interface, Windows Presentation Foundation, Expression Interactive Designer, Expression Graphic Designer, Office Open XML Format.

Windows Communication Foundation and Windows Workflow Foundation (8:30pm Dave Glover and Paul Turner)

This session will cover creating the next generation Web 2.0 connected applications. Windows Communication Foundation (formerly code-named "Indigo") is a set of .NET technologies for building and running connected systems. Windows Workflow Foundation is the programming model, engine and tools for quickly building workflow enabled applications in Windows.
