Edge Browser Pretty Edgy speed wise

This speed battle was done using a Lenovo Twist, Window 10 Build 10074 fresh from just this AM and the supplied Spartan, so this is not an impressive machine, in fact it is kind of a POS.  I used chrome as downloaded, and same for IE.  Did anyone notice that Edge Internet browsers could have the initials EI?  Get it is the opposite of IE.  Get it?  No... Ok, here is the article:

Wow, using the Edge browser is exciting, ok, it's as exciting as using a browser can be.  Browser wars are a commodity war.  Like eating an Orange, they are tasty, there are different kinds, and you have to peel them to appreciate them.  With the Edge, aka Spartan, you can really see that there is a robust tool emerging from the sculpture's clay, not quite there, but it's in beta.  Hopefully Edge will move up the ratings.  The ratings by the way are described on the Speed battle website.

Edge is shown at it's ranking of 18, which is unchanged from the previous build I had on my system. When I went to Speed-Test.com in Chrome, it was slow to open the page, but the cause of this is likely that Chrome designers have not done any tuning on Windows 10, but in reality the Chrome Numbers improved on Windows 10.  The overall test for Chrome that I downloaded directly from Google was much lower with an overall score of 487.26, a little better than what is shown in this chart as an average.  IE 11 came in at a close 487.07 running on Windows 10, which is odd since the IE 11 is shown on the complete chart came in at a dismal 35 points overall in the test runs at Speed-Test: https://www.speed-battle.com .  Keep in mind that I chose this speed battle just because it showed at the top of my search in Bing, and that it is not an official Microsoft statement.  In general, Firefox appears to have kicked everyone's backside or posterior or ...

So what does this mean?  Well that is up to you.

If you want to learn how to use the Developer Tools in Edge, and these videos will be available soon, get started by going to the Microsoft Virtual Academy at: https://bit.ly/edgedevtools01, if you are in a hurry do module 13, 14, and 15, make sure to do the assessment till you pass.
