Freaking Angels Baseball and Backing up your stuff on Win 8.1

Freaking Angels which is a baseball team here in Southern California lose after getting a 4 point lead and they lose by a lot, Texas Rangers 14, Angels 11.  Oh well, it wasn’t a boring game.  Not that I watched, I just like the statistics.

But what does this have to do with Backing up your stuff on Win 8.1?  With all US Baseball games there are a lot of statistics, for example if you want to see what the Angels did in 1919, you could consult the MLB history and see that the Angels where based in South Central Los Angeles from 1903 to 1957 (or is it 1961?  Some would disagree).  But that is history, and it is stored all over the web.

So what does this have to do with you backing stuff up?  Well, I bet you don’t because it is too difficult or confusing.  Understand, I am lazy about it, even though I know how.  On Windows 8.1 it’s easy and fast.

You will need:

  • A small USB drive for your Recovery Drive, this drive can only be used for the Recovery process.
  • A external drive like a larger USB stick/thumb drive or a hard drive in good shape, not that one you dropped on the concrete floor and then stepped on by accident.

But why back up, if Windows 8.1 is so awesome?  Well you got a great operating system, you are doing good work, but things go wrong.  So just how do you back up your stuff on Win 8.1?

Pretty easy to do right?  Now if only the Angels could fix their recent history as easily.
