Design item Metro App for Windows 8: Makes appropriate use of commanding surfaces and respects the edges

Here is a list of items that are tested in your Windows 8 App. If you are in Southern California, please email these posts for more information on getting a token for your app by June 30, 2012!

Commanding surfaces such as context menus, flyouts, and charms, are all designed to work together.
To ensure commanding is seamless for your users:

Ensure you do not have commanding surfaces near the left and right edge of the screen where the charms and the task switching happens
Ensure that you use flyouts with light dismiss
Do not include persistent content on flyout or context menus.
Ensure your commanding strategy works across multiple view states, including filled and snapped.
