Finally decided to put VS 11 Ultimate Beta on my Win 8 Machine

The VS 11 Beta templates were kind of complex for my style of programming , and I wanted to explore the use of older DirectX material for people reading my blog.  Since there is NO direct 11 books or Direct3 or Direct2 for Win 8 books or material outside of Microsoft and a few advanced writers, for good reason, after all it is all new.  So I thought that I might take a look at some of my older DirectX books that I have been ignoring for some time and see if I could use them to get back up to speed with C++ programming.

This means that I will be able to create very simple examples that can be completed within a few minutes since my attention span is often only a few minutes.  For more complicated examples there are a lot of those around.

My goal is to get people up to a point were the complicated examples make sense, and that doesn’t only mean beginners, some of the existing examples are real headbangers.

So keep an eye out for game design, rotation, panning, Guidelines and cross slide discussions.

Have a nice Sunday

All statements are valid on 4/15/2012 only.  Things change, rapidly.  Windows 8 is looking to be freaking amazing.
