Tiled, Toasted & Raw? Was it that New Year’s party or Azure with WP7? You Decide

I will admit it, I didn’t do much on News Year Eve, but there have been other News Year Eve night that I won’t talk about, mainly because they were boring to most people.  Ok, anyone other than me.  But supposedly some people do get tiled, toasted and raw, and that is just messages from someone or thing to their Windows Phone 7.

The template used is the result of Windows Azure Toolkit for Windows Phone (and if you load the default installation, it will create a new folder at C:\WindowsAzure, in case you forget).

There are three forms of messaging on the Windows Phone 7, and at the bottom what a running compute emulator looks like:

Tiled

Note the black u in the WAT Windows Phone Metro tile, that indicates that I have a pushed notification from my Azure Fabric running on my system:

Toast

in this example it is the red tab at the top, color will vary with the various Phone Themes:

And then the message will show up on the notification page

Raw

Conclusion

That’s it, knowing what Tile, Toast and Raw are good for the Windows Phone 7, not good if you found it out some other way.
