Artificial Intelligence appears to be a poor choice for Windows Phone 7 design blogs

Wow, I just checked my numbers on blogging, and it appears that Artificial Intelligence is not an interesting subject to many people.  Darn.

image Oh well, my fingers push the keys and you get what you get.  Maybe I should just do links and stuff like that, or talk about what I do.  Nay, it isn’t that I want to protect my inner personality, it’s more like who cares?  I dislike blogs that people talk about what they do every day, with a few exceptions.

Back to Artificial Intelligence, so within the Pathfinder you act like the environment when you change the tile using the XML file (see the previous blog about that subject).  The Pathfinder software acts like a sensor that examines the environment before starting out on it’s path.  There are several simple games that utilize these principles, most are based on crobots.  For an Italian description see:

for English: https://corewar.co.uk/crobots/

image For most people these are very boring games, you write the program and then the game plays itself, like a RPG, except simpler and for most people deathly boring.  But then again Chess is boring for many people, so it is a matter of taste.

To download and play with the crobots: https://corewar.co.uk/crobots/verkhov/crobots32.zip

You can download Visual Studio C++ Express for free from the Express site and use it to create the robots that run in this interesting application.

So what does this have to do with Artificial Intelligence?  To move beyond Pathfinder you will need to have an engine of some sort, and the word document included with the CROBOTS is a good specification document.

NNNN
