New Psion Rugged PDA, the iKON

One of may favorite devices, the Motorola Symbol MC35 now has some serious competition: the Psion iKON. Some of the most interesting features:

  • Choice of Windows, Windows Mobile 6 Standard or Windows Mobile 6 Professional
  • Display with full VGA resolution (640x480)
  • GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPRS/UMTS 3G cellular radios
  • Whitstands dropping from 5 feet. IP65 rating.
  • A camera that works as a barcode scanner
  • PDA form factor

This looks like a great unit for fielf service applications and store managers. AT&T has been carrying Psion's line in the US, I hope they also support this one. More details found on PSION's website and in the press release.
