Surface 2, Surface Pro 2 and accessories announced

David Meego - Click for blog homepageA few months ago I found a home for my Samsung Series 7 slate and purchased a Microsoft Surface Pro. I really like having all that power in such a small and flexible machine. I had thought about waiting for a next generation machine which would hopefully be based on the 4th generation Core chips, codenamed "Haswell", but I did not know how far away that would be.

Well, it was closer than I expected as on Monday, 23rd September 2013 in New York City, Panos Panay (Corporate Vice President - Microsoft Surface) announced the Surface 2, Surface Pro 2 and seven new accessories. Here is the link to the Surface 2 Keynote video:

Pre-orders are open already and the launch date is 22nd October 2013.
