Announcement of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Demonstration VM – November 2010 Refresh
Today we are announcing an update to the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Demonstration Toolkit virtual machines. The following Q&A is provided to give you details about this release.
Why are there new VMs?
The existing demonstration VMs have a time bomb that will end on the 15th of November so we are providing new VMs ahead of this.
What are you releasing ?
We are releasing 3 options to show Dynamics AX 2009 with different Microsoft applications and technology.
- Refresh 4
- For use with Windows Hyper-V contains Dynamics AX 2009 setup running on Windows 2008 R2 with SQL 2008 R2, SharePoint 2010 and Office 2010
- Refresh 3.5
- For use with VPC2007SP1 contains Dynamics AX 2009 setup running on Windows 2008 with SQL 2008 R2, SharePoint 2007 and Office 2010
- Refresh 3
- For use with VPC2007SP1 contains Dynamics AX 2009 setup running on Windows 2003 with SQL 2005 SP3, SharePoint 2007 and Office 2010
Are the industry solutions included?
Yes. We have include updated application VHD files for

- Retail
- Intelligence Data Management Framework
