Today I heard about a new service that Fatih Colgar and Richard Crawford are producing to aid customers in accelerating their migration to Vista.

Some quick things to consider until I get hold of the high level details:

Hardware

Does your hardware support Windows Vista, what is the customer’s hardware renewal policy?

How long might it be before you have the hardware you need? How long before you have rationalized your infrastructure?

Application compatibility

Do you have mission-critical custom applications that rely on functionality that is not supported by Windows Vista?

Does you have pre-Windows XP operating systems? This may be a sign that you are ready to move up to a newer operating system—to Windows Vista (or Windows XP), depending on any hardware issues.
