The presentation was interesting, the approach should substantially improve application development, maintenance and deployment.

    Here are my thoughts,

Presentation was a bit unplanned and basic. Do not get me wrong, it was good to have a preview of Avalon, but I was hoping for something a bit more advanced in WPF.

Maybe next time, it would be worthwhile to get a subject matter expert. Also the labs needed to be a bit more organised and the pace evened out a bit (it got a little rushed towards the end of the presentation).

In the future, I would love to hear more talks that acutally focus on vertical subject areas rather than introductory topics. For example:

Microsoft Application Blocks – from subject matter experts and people who have actually used them in their applications.

OR Mapping Tools – discuss object spaces and the various open source OR tools that are available. Also could discuss how WinFX intends to fit into the OR mapping space.

Remoting – again will be good to hear from people who have used it extensively.

Please do not be discouraged by the comments above. I think you are doing a splendid job in the big scheme of things and things will only get better in the future.

Session quite interesting, although only showed a tiny subset of WPF topics.

I suggest that there could be more of a ‘wow’ demonstration of abilities presented.
