WinFX Resources - Platform for the next generation of software

Last week I delivered a couple of presentations covering WinFX: the next-generation managed code programming model for Microsoft Windows. Windows Vista introduces breakthroughs in user experience, security and reliability, enabling you to build applications that bring clarity to the user's complex world of information.

The presentations covered the key challenges that have drove the design goals of WinFX:

  • User Experience Focus

  • Process Centricity

These design goals map to the pillars of WinFX:

  • Windows Presentation Foundation
  • InfoCard
  • Windows Communication Foundation
  • Windows Workflow Foundation
