User Experience - hear from the gurus

Next week we have some gurus from the US office coming down to NZ to run a bunch of seminars on User Experience in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

Here's a quick run down of who's coming...

Ray Stephenson is a Regional Manager at Microsoft focused on helping web and custom development shops in Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand create more revenue from their existing portfolio of skills via the latest technology in Windows Vista and ASP.NET AJAX. He previously led strategic partnerships with Microsoft’s competitors as the relationship manager for Google, AOL, Real Networks, and Borland. Prior to Microsoft, Ray was a lead software architect in the paper and printing industry.

Leon Brown has over 16 years experience working with creative professionals. Leon has a wealth of experience and passion for helping people create and communicate better. Prior to Microsoft, Leon worked in California at Adobe Systems, Inc. As Senior Product Manager Leon delivered five versions of the industry leading Adobe Illustrator, as well as Adobe Creative Suite 2, one the leading revenue generators for Adobe Systems today and a critical tool for many professionals world-wide. Leon is responsible for incubating, launching and building our brand new Expression Tools Suite business throughout the Asia Pacific Region.

Neil Hutson – Director Windows Server, Developer and Platform Strategy Group in the US. Responsible for awareness and adoption of the Window Server and Tools platform at Microsoft, with a specific focus on helping software vendors, customers, ITPROs and resellers take advantage of the new features of .NET Framework 3.0 and Longhorn Server. Prior to this he was Group Manger and Lead Architect for Microsoft EMEA, focusing on Windows platform and tools adoption for within the EMEA region.

Ron Preston – Director Partner Strategy Programs, Developer and Platform Strategy Group in the US. Responsible for programs worldwide which help partners build solutions on the Microsoft Platform prior to general availability of the products. Ron's current focus is on Windows Vista, 2007 Office System, Office and Windows Live, Windows Server “Longhorn” and the Microsoft Dynamics beta programs. Ron has worked with professional software companies for 14 years, with a focus on early adoption of new technologies.
