Are you coming to Office and Vista Readiness?

This week I'm busy preparing for the Office and Vista Readiness training that kicks off on Thursday in Wellington. (Did I mention that its free?)

This should be a lot of fun as we get to show you the new features for developers and IT Pros that are coming up with Windows Vista and the 2007 Office System.

My presentation is on Developing for Office 2007.  I'm going to be focusing on the Office client development story - not developing for the new servers (which is also interesting).

The new version of VSTO works well and when combined with things like the new XML File Format there are lots of opportunities to do some pretty funky things with the new version that you couldn't do with any previous versions of Office.

If you think that we will just be talking about XML Binding then you are wrong.  Development in Office is now pretty cool - and you dont even need to use Office to work with Office documents any more...

If you have time on Thursday and are in Wellington, register and come along.  If you are in Christchurch or Auckland, we will be coming your way soon.  Full details and registration is available at www.microsoft.co.nz/events.

See you there!
