Windows Workflow Foundation – Where does BizTalk fit in?

The last paragraph of my Windows Workflow Foundation posting was me being deliberately “devils advocate” to try and get you to think about the possibility of Windows Workflow Foundation being used in everything from Windows Forms Applications to ASP.NET Applications, and I didn’t really position how WWF and BizTalk should be used moving forwards so…

Windows Workflow Foundation

It’s been a long time coming!  We announced Windows Workflow Foundation at the PDC today which means we can finally talk about it! J   For those of you familiar with BizTalk Server 2004, Windows Workflow Foundation is analogous to the Orchestration Designer and Orchestration Runtime (XLANG) in BizTalk.  It allows you express your “workflow”…

The PDC notes I wish I’d taken

Tim Sneath (also from Microsoft UK) has posted a flurry of blog entries covering each session he went to at the PDC in great detail, it makes for great reading especially if it’s a session you didn’t make it to. If only I’d made such detailed notes!

Didn’t make it to the PDC?

You can order the Conference DVD that contains the videos of all the sessions and presentations from here, I’m looking forward to this coming out already so I can catch the sessions that clashed or were full And if your a MSDN Universal Subscriber you can order the Longhorn and Whidbey DVDs for free by calling MSDN…

Doug Purdy: XmlSerializer

GGGGrrr, I was looking forward to this session big time, but the room was full 5 minutes befehand so I couldn’t make it in.  Here’s to hoping they’ll repeat it, oterhwise it’s a 6 week wait for the conference DVD

PDC PreCon – Web Services

[ BlogX has been playing up and this is the second time I’ve written this 🙁 ] I went along to Don, Gudge and Tims session on Sunday,  I done a lot of work in the XML and Web Services space expecting to pick up a few nuggets of information. Sure enough the speak was…

PDC Fever

In the last few weeks the lid has opened slightly internally on all things Longhorn, Indigo, Whidbey, etc. Avalon is amazing, I can’t wait to see what the demos and sessions are like and hopefully they’ll really show what it can do, and the best thing is that everyone gets to take the bits home 🙂…

PDC Sessions

The PDC site doesn’t have a great search tool for looking at the sessions, and if you want to print out all the sessions to plan what to attend you’ll have to print ~21 individual pages which is awkward. But the nice guys organising the PDC have offered a RSS feed, so internally I’ve knocked…
