End of first month for Azure billing – are you watching your accounts?

Today marks the last day of the first month of billing for Azure… and, hopefully, everyone has been following best practices and has been actively monitoring their account and usage.

Consumption charges are new to a lot of us… and no one likes surprises.  Unfortunately, if you haven’t been keeping track of your account, you may be in for one.

Best bet: get up to the MOCP portal and check your account asap (and regularly) – to do so:

Log into the MOCP Portal using your Microsoft alias (https://mocp.microsoftonline.com/)

Click on “view my bills” (it’s on the right side of the screen)

Click “view online bill\invoice”

Click “Daily usage” under your account detail  (note – there is a 12 hour delay in updates to the report)

Also – here’s some additional guidance to keep visibility into your account and to make sure you get the best value out of Windows Azure:
