XBox 360 Price to be Reduced

Apparently the rumors around a $50 price cut on the XBox 360 Pro are true. As early as this coming Sunday, it's very possible you'll see ads for the XBox 360 Pro (20 GB version) showing from $299 versus its original sticker price of $349.

I couldn't find any reference to the Xbox 360 Arcade -- the hard drive-less version of the 360 -- which sells for $279. I've you've waited this long to buy a 360 and were on the fence as to whether to get the Arcade or Pro version, I think the $30 price difference will help make the decision a bit easier.

I'm not a hard core gamer by any stretch of the imagine but I recently got a Xbox 360 Pro and I have to say, I'm very impressed with the unit. One thing that I like about having a console now is that I don't have to worry about keeping up game-enabled PC components on a desktop system anymore.

Another rumor is that Microsoft will be announcing a 60-GB version of the 360 next week at E3, the Electronics Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles.
