Release Notes for Field Service and Project Service Automation Update 5

Applies to: Project Service Automation for Dynamics 365 version 8.2, Field Service for Dynamics 365 version 8.2, Universal Resource Scheduling (URS) solution on Dynamics 365 version 8.2

We’re pleased to announce the latest update to the Field Service and Project Service Automation solutions for Dynamics 365 version 8.2. This update includes improvements to quality, performance, and usability, and is based on your feedback and requests.

This release is compatible with Dynamics 365 version 8.2. To update to this release, go to the Admin Center for Dynamics 365 (online), Solutions page to install the update.

Field Service (v6.2.3.24) Enhancements

Bug fixes

  • Fixed: If there’s a user who is the owner of a work order record and that user has an administrative license type, then an upgrade from Dynamics 365 version 8.1 to 8.2 fails with an error that the user does not have the correct privileges
  • Fixed: Cannot save work order incident record at some organizations due to erroneous JS code on the work order form which assigns an undefined OnSave event
  • Fixed: Option to disable Address Suggestions doesn’t work
  • Fixed: Item rounding policy for Field Service price lists rounds up even when Duration to Bill is set to 0
  • Fixed: Unable to create contact, opportunity, lead, account, or case entities in an updated organization
  • Fixed: Calculation for purchase order product price is incorrect by a factor of 10,000 when using standard Euro currency format settings
  • Fixed: Unit cost field for purchase order product populates with value NaN if the current cost of the product is null
  • Fixed: When editing any field on a product receipt, the user sees the error message: System status can’t be changed manually to products received or billed
  • Fixed: System should prevent user from changing the status from Products Received to Products Submitted for purchase orders
  • Fixed: Purchase Order Receipt Product custom grid locks after editing the first field
  • Fixed: Cannot partially receive a purchase order product
  • Fixed: Booking rule doesn’t show correct message for Java script
  • Fixed: In Internet Explorer 11, the filter dropdowns for Restricted Resources and Resource Types are missing on the Schedule Assistant after the user adds a restricted resource to a work order

 

NOTE: This update can only be installed on Dynamics 365 version 8.2 organizations with Field Service Solution version 6.2.2.14 or earlier.

 

Project Service Automation (v1.2.3.16) Enhancements

Bug fixes

  • Fixed: Contract line details don’t show up immediately after adding them so user has to refresh to see them
  • Fixed: Import from an estimate causes an error for estimates with >2 decimals in the price on Dyanmics 365 version 8.2 with Project Service Automation
  • Fixed: Time entry date is set to the next day after the user saves or refreshes, if the user’s timezone zone is far in the future (UTC+13 or UTC+14)
  • Fixed: In Danish currency (DKK), the Total Sales Price doesn’t appear with the correct decimal precision
  • Fixed: European number formatting isn’t used on the Quick Create UI for estimated hours when a user creates a project from a template
  • Fixed: Incorrect Effort hours display when a user creates a project from project template
  • Fixed: Expense_Amounts lose decimal precision when the decimal separator is not a period (.)

NOTE: This update can only be installed on a Dynamics 365 version 8.2 organization with Project Service Automation (v1.2.2.16 or earlier).

 

Universal Resource Scheduling Enhancements

Bug fixes

  • Fixed: Layout incorrect for lookup fields on the schedule board filtering panel when the user scrolls down the page with a mouse
  • Fixed: Lookup selectors render incorrectly on screens with lower resolutions or when browser zooming is enabled
  • Fixed: Cannot create a booking alert if user is under a child business unit
  • Fixed: Bookings with a travel time component don’t render correctly when the start of the working day overlaps with the booking
  • Fixed: Can’t book a schedulable entity that has no requirement
  • Fixed: On the schedule board, the territory filter on the booking requirements grid doesn’t work
  • Fixed: When a user clicks Book on a record or form while the pop out schedule board is in use, the right panel which includes the details panel as well as the ability for a customer to add their own panel, isn’t available

 

NOTE: Enhancements and bug fixes for Universal Resource Scheduling apply to Field Service and Project Service Automation as well as to other schedulable entities in Dynamics 365 v8.2 organizations
