Bio – Steve Kaplan


Steve Kaplan is a Program Manager on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM team. He joined Microsoft directly out of college and spends his time working on customization tools in the application. Prior to joining Microsoft, Steve attended Carnegie Mellon University where he received a bachelors degree in information systems and a masters in information systems management.


Outside of work Steve is an avid distance runner making a move up to the marathon.

    CRM5 needs to incorporate color options for background, for fields, for text and allow more creative use of space and text.  The design options now available are terribly limiting to creative form design and a good UI.

    Steve,

    We are using CRM 4.0 in the specialty finance area.  Specialty Finance typically deals with specialty lending and investment that requires intensive use of forms.  We need to design forms just like your voter registration example since these types of forms are familiar and already approved by legal and compliance in lending and investment organizations.  These forms need links to workflows and queues and should be able to be segmented against different roles in the system.
