Bio – Charlie Wood


I am a Technical Evangelist working with independent software vendors (ISVs) to create solutions based on Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 as a platform. I am based in Redmond, WA. The primary goal of my team is to work as a catalyst to help ISVs bring (mainly vertical) solutions to market.


We tend to view the Dynamics CRM application more as a platform for software development – rather than just a horizontal offering. In fact that tends to be one of my main goals – getting the big industry vertical solution providers just to understand the power and flexibility of the Dynamics CRM software development platform. I have worked at Microsoft for about six years (with a little time off!).


I originally started in the UK subsidiary working as an infrastructure consultant in the consulting division. Following that I moved to Microsoft New Zealand where I continued to work in consulting for a while – but later moved on to the joint role of Solution Specialist and Product Manager focused on Microsoft CRM.   I like skiing, mountaineering and ski-mountaineering!
