The November 24 edition of the Microsoft WHQL newsletter made an important announcement.  The WDK will replace the HCT at Windows Vista RTM.  It will also replace the DCT, IFS and DDK.  The replacement of the HCT for downlevel, Windows XP and Server 2003, logo testing, however is huge.  This means a single logo kit for all logo programs and replaces the previous plan of record which was going to continue to require use of the HCT for downlevel logos.
