Deploying the .NET Framework version 1.1

Question
Can I use the Visual Studio 2005 Bootstrapper to deploy the .NET Frameworks 1.1?  Do I need to purchase Visual Studio 2005 to do so?

Answer
Yes, there are two options for creating a Bootstrapper for the .NET Framework v1.1.

The first is to download a Bootstrapper manifest for the Visual Studio 2005 Bootstrapper.  Additional manifest files can be downloaded from the following GotDotNet workspace:
https://www.gotdotnet.com/Workspaces/Workspace.aspx?id=7e8e8cbd-b447-4a9d-a984-9379d1a0c190

However, if you don't have a copy of Visual Studio 2005 you can still create a Bootstrapper for the .NET Framework 1.1.  Please refer to the MSDN article Microsoft .Net Framework version 1.1 Setup.exe Bootstrapper sample.

You can get the source code for that Bootstrapper here:
