Learning (A Challenge)

Andhere, poorfool, Istandonce more , NowiserthanIwasbefore. [J. W. v. Goethe, FaustI]

Much like engaging in an explicit challenge, i.e. a competition of some sort or a situation where one exposes itself to the unknown / uncomfortable territory, such is every day life and learning from and throughout it a particularly hard challenge.

And even though what we encounter throughout each day is sufficient learning data, people tend to strive for the greater understanding of it all. Luckily, much great learning content has been made readily accessible for the interested and motivated scholar on the web. Only the sheer vastness of available resources can be considered a learning challenge by itself. Since I do a web search every now and then, I pass by sites which I find interesting with respect to the above. For that, this post will simply bring up three sites, pulling in great content on the topic of online education (free lectures, book sites, etc.):

  1. University Learning = OCW + OER = Free

Great hub – highlighting many available OCW sites, free lecture material, online books, wikis etc.

  2. OpenCourseWare

    The OCW part in (1)

  3. Open Educational Resources

Hub to open textbooks, open education, etc.

As with last’s post, if you feel there is something to add, simply mention it.
