OFC407 Microsoft Office Project Server 2007 Performance Testing and Capacity Planning Michael Jordan Microsoft Consulting Services completed a series of tests to produce a white paper on capacity planning on Microsoft Project Server 2007. Providing recommendations and guidelines about how to plan for capacity and how to size a Project Server 2007 environment, requires a systematic testing approach and thorough data analysis. This session discusses how we ran the performance tests for Project Server 2007 using Visual Studio Team System 2008 Test Edition, the results from our performance labs, and the capacity planning recommendations and guidelines that we extrapolated from these results and from numerous customer deployments.

The Microsoft Innovation Process Management (IPM) Solution is built on the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, and the Microsoft Enterprise Project Management (EPM) Solution, enabling organizations to: - Capture ideas from anyone within the organization - Develop business cases for each idea - Gather community feedback and ratings - Run portfolio analytics to select the best ideas - Successfully execute the resulting project This session covers the procedure and best practices to implement, deploy and customize the IPM solution.
OFC03-TLC Integrating Application Lifecycle Management and Project Portfolio Management Ben Chamberlain, Jan Kalis Integrating Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Project Portfolio Management (PPM) processes helps to improve visibility across the entire application development lifecycle, empowering project managers and developers to follow their own methodologies yet be seamlessly connected with each other. The Microsoft Enterprise PM Solution and Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Sever are already used by many organizations to support PPM and ALM processes. Integrating these tools allows the development team to work in a familiar environment, maximizing productivity and focusing on quality, while ensuring all required data is provided to the project manager and stakeholders to facilitate enterprise resource management and reporting. Attend this session to understand how integrating the Microsoft Enterprise Project Management (EPM) Solution with Visual Studio Team Foundation Server helps: • Executives to invest in project portfolios that align with strategic priorities • To standardize the collection of project and maintenance requests across the organization • Connect project and development teams • Developers and testers focus on quality without being over burdened with administrative tasks • Facilitate enterprise reporting and control across the portfolio

We will also have a dedicated EPM booth/kiosk staffed by product experts to answer your questions and demo our products and solutions so don’t be shy and swing by! We look forward to see you in LA in May.
