Tulsa InstallFest was awesome!

Thanks to everyone that came out to Tulsa InstallFest last night!  It was great seeing so many people come out to the Tulsa Developers User Group for the party, fun, food, drink, Xbox (love that Rock Band) and - of course - Visual Studio 2008.  We had about 125 people from the Tulsa, Oklahoma City, and Northwest Arkansas area represented last night, and I think that everyone had a really good time.  The food (Italian Feast from Spaghetti Warehouse and Pizza from Domino's) was EXCELLENT, and I noticed by the end of the night there was very little food left over :)

I was also glad to see so many people installing Visual Studio 2008 on their computers.  Everyone that did install the software walked off with a brand new Defy all Challenges Visual Studio 2008 T-Shirt!  They are very popular shirts, and I'm guessing that we had at least 1/2 the attendance last night going home with one!

Also, since not everyone who was pre-registered for the event was able to come out last night, David Walker and I had plenty of left over copies of Visual Studio 2008 to give one to EVERYONE THAT ATTENDED!  I was really excited to see so many people come to the party even though they weren't registered, or had ended up on the waitlist - and for them it totally paid off.

So - for those of you contemplating whether or not you should attend the NDDNUG InstallFest party tomorrow night because you couldn't get registered - I'd suggest going anyway.  We'll have 200 copies of Visual Studio 2008 to hand out, and if last night is any indication, you might go home with one for simply showing up!

Special thanks to David Walker who made this event possible, as well as Jay Smith, Randy Walker and everyone at OSU for helping us make this event a success - there's no way this event could have happened without all your help last night, and your continued dedication to and support of the .NET Developer Community in Tulsa, OKC and NWA.

Signing out from Tulsa - see you tomorrow night in North Dallas!
