INETA Community Leadership Summit

INETA will hold a Community Leadership Summit this Saturday, September 29, 2007 in Irving, CA. Designed to assist members of the .NET Community, the International .NET Association (INETA) provides support and resources for special interest groups and user groups. Chris Wallace, one of the organizers of the summit, says that it is open "to all community user group leaders, as well as those active in volunteering support. It is for all ... those who are involved in the leadership, planning, promotion, or day-to-day operations of a user group community, including those serious about starting a user group." Many of the prominent C# User Groups are part of INETA, and so it should be a good place for community members to gather and plan for the future.

  1. You’ve been kicked (a good thing) – Trackback from DotNetKicks.com

  2. Is there any similar event for Egypt or middle east INETA groups?

  3. ccalvert says:

Mohammed. I asked Chris about this, and he said that you can contact Nuri Mehmet to get information about INETA activities in Egypt. His email looks something like this:

    mehmet -AT- anuricankaya -DOT- com

In his message to me, Chris said that INETA’s "five regions are (generally) defined as: NorAM – North America; APAC – Asia, Pacific, India, China, Japan; EU – Europe, Russia; LATAM – Latin America; and MEA – Middle East, Africa, Pakistan."

The countries in MEA are as follows:

    Cyprus

    Egypt

    Israel

    Jordan

    Kenya

    Kuwait

    Lebanon

    Malta

    Mauritius

    Morocco

    Nigeria

    Pakistan

    Palestine

    Rwanda

    Saudi Arabia

    South Africa

    Turkey

    Uganda

    United Arab Emirates

  4. Thanks Charile,

Actually I’m an INETA group leader in Egypt for almost a year now, and I’m trying to check if any activities happen in Egypt, so we can participate.

    Thanks again,

    Mohammed

  5. I think the email address is wrong, because I got a failure response.
