When/where why smart client versus web/Smart Client Architecture

Title: When/where why smart client versus web/Smart Client Architecture

Abstract: Smart client systems are a compelling option for many .NET applications, but they require changes to classic n-tier architecture. From handling state on the client to dealing with multiple data transport options, new architectural layers are needed to promote flexibility and speed of development. This session discusses a layered architecture based on several real-world smart client systems, along with other best practices for doing distributed smart client systems. Techniques for componentizing logic on the client tier and thus reducing the amount of code necessary for a smart client UI are discussed and demonstrated.
