Through the years I have adapted to the technologies and tool sets available. In this video I wanted to share with you a story from a point in time where I noticed that there was a scale change taking place.
Horizontal Scale: Cost Vs Performance
I am a big advocate of using many of the smallest thing that you can. I have spent considerable time testing my software/web apps on smaller machines to get a sense of the cost/performance ratio.
I really recommend taking this approach, and trying to deeply understand the nature of your specific application under this lens.
