App Store Optimization Tricks – Screenshots

Proper store optimization for your app can mean the difference between a hit and an absolute dud. In this next episode of App Business Secrets, Abhinav Gupta shares his strategy he has coined T.R.I.C.K.S. Tricks stands for Title, Reviews, Icon, Customer, Keywords, Screenshots/Video. With this strategy Nav (Abhinav) hopes to show you how he has found success with his own games and apps.

This latest video is for the next letter in the acronym, S. Screenshots. Nav's advice: Keep them simple. If your screenshots are cluttered or look complex they will not help explain to the end user what they are getting.

“Right after a solid icon design, the second area that users will look at is your screenshots. Screenshots are considered an unofficial demo of your app or game. Keep your screenshots simple, keep your points short and use every screenshot you are given to market your amazing app. If your screenshots are cluttered or look complex they will not help explain to the end user what they are getting.  Try researching screenshots and videos of other competitive apps and games. This is a great way to get inspired to build screenshots that will give your users even more reason to download your app or game today!“
