As you may or may not know, today, and every January 28th is Data Privacy Day, a day that according to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada is a day that “Canada, along with many countries around the world, will celebrate Data Privacy Day. Recognized by privacy professionals, corporations, government officials, academics and students around the world, Data Privacy Day highlights the impact that technology is having on our privacy rights and underlines the importance of valuing and protecting personal information.”
You can learn more about Data Privacy Day on the StaySafeOnline.org site, a site that Microsoft, as well as many other organizations proudly support and/or champion.
From a Microsoft perspective (and in all honesty, I didn’t know that this was available so that’s why I’m sharing it), Microsoft has put together a Privacy in Action site that is meant to demonstrate what Microsoft, as a company and built into the products, is doing to ensure that your data privacy is respected. You can dig into specific products like Bing, Internet Explorer 10, Windows Phone, and XBOX, or check out these three summary videos:

I hope that, like me, you’ll take a moment TODAY to watch the videos or think privacy and take action to do one thing to show your commitment to privacy.
Have a great day and a great week!
