The Developer Movement is back!

Earlier this year  we finished a highly successful campaign called the Developer Movement to help you build Windows Phone apps and get great prizes in the process.  In fact, it was more successful than we could have ever imagined!  That’s why I’m pleased to announce that today (as in RIGHT NOW), the second iteration of the Developer Movement is NOW LIVE!  With this new phase, we have enhanced our prizing structure and we have opened up the contest to those building Windows Store apps for Windows 8 as well.  Time to get coding!

That’s right!  Microsoft Canada’s award-winning contest to help Canadian developers build awesome Windows Store apps, Windows Phone apps and Windows Azure services is back and bigger than ever!  As of right now, you can sign up for the Developer Movement and start building your apps today.

Basically, if you publish a public app to the Windows Store, Windows Phone Store or publish a production-hosted Windows Azure service, you have a chance to win some great prizes in addition to your apps being available for customers to download in our online Stores.

If you do decide to join the Developer Movement (if you’re Canadian and want to build Windows Store apps, Windows Phone apps and Windows Azure services, you really should!),  you’ll be on your way to some great opportunities for your apps.

In addition to just publishing apps and getting points for prizes, we will also be holding monthly contests or challenges for you to enter as well.  In addition, by taking Windows Azure labs and learning how to build services on Windows Azure, you also have a chance to get even more points toward prizes.

So here are your go-do’s:
