Visual Studio 2012 Takes “Ease” Up a Notch

Let’s be honest. We’re all developers here. There’s just way too much to remember these days when we’re coding. Hence, we love our code samples, right? Code samples have been around for some time though, making our lives easier. So what’s new that takes it up a notch?

Simple. In their brilliance, the Visual Studio team and the MSDN Samples Gallery team released an add-in to Visual Studio 2012 (and 2010 as well), that will eliminate having to go anywhere else to get code samples!

With the Sample Browser for Visual Studio 2012 and 2010, you’ll get search and download capabilities of Microsoft official code samples as well those contributed by the community right within Visual Studio!

Think about the savings in mouse clicks or ALT+Tabs now that you won’t have to flip between sites to get code samples into Visual Studio!

Download the Sample Browser for Visual Studio 2012 and 2010 and let me know what you think! As always, your feedback and/or suggestions are what help make these things happen, but more importantly, what makes them continue to get better.

Enjoy!
