Great news! You can do the app excellence labs remotely and get your apps into the store early! If you are in Ottawa, added bonus: stop by Saturday May 26th for a Windows 8 camp to get you rolling!
Remote App Excellence Labs
I wrote a post earlier this week talking about the app excellence labs. If you want to get your Windows 8 app to the store, you should be working on your code now and then registering for a timeslot during one of the labs. When I wrote the blog post I shared the dates for the labs in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. I found out today, that we have made arrangements to allow Canadian developers outside those cities to do app excellence labs remotely using Lync or Skype. You will need to request a time slot during one of the lab weeks in Montreal, Toronto, or Vancouver. Don’t wait until the last minute! Schedule your time slot now, for two reasons: 1 - It will force you to put aside some time and work on that app because you will have a deadline! 2 – You don’t want to wait until the last minute and then find out there are no slots left. You don’t have to bring a 100% Complete app to the lab, but do make sure it is functional.
When are the labs?
Toronto May 22-25; May 28- June 1
Montreal June 4 – 8
Vancouver June 11-15; June 18-22
