Save the Date: June 20

Exactly a month ago, in my post Cloud: A Skill and Career Building Opportunity, I told you about the Windows Azure Developer Workshops – the one-day free workshop I was doing (with help from community experts Jef King, Jaime Bueza, Wouter van Eck, Atley Hunter, Mariusz Kolodziej, Bruce Johnson, Barry Gervin, and Jerold Xing) that covered everything from basic Cloud Computing concepts to designing, developing, and deploying applications using Windows Azure. The response was amazing (thanks for that!) and the feedback from the workshops that have already happened has been exceptional (thanks for that as well!)

So what’s happening on June 20?

The next step in your Windows Azure learning journey (even if you didn’t attend one of the Windows Azure Developer Workshops). I can’t share too much right now, but here’s what I can tell you:

  • It will be a Windows Azure DevCamp format training event
  • It will be a full-day experience
  • It will be in Toronto
  • There will be Microsoft experts in attendance
  • You’ll want to bring your laptop because we will doing hands-on work
  • You’ll want to register as soon as registration is available because seats are limited

We’re working behind the scenes on the final agenda and session details. As soon as I have them, rest assured you’ll know about it – that is if you stay tuned to the blog, sync using the Canadian Developer Connection Windows Phone app, connect with us in the Canadian Developer Connection LinkedIn group, follow cdnazure (or cdndevs) on Twitter, or subscribe to the MSDN eNews Newsletter.

Until then, block off June 20 on your calendar.

If you have any questions, feel free to let me know. Send me an email at cdnazure@microsoft.com.

(For those of you who can’t make it to Toronto on June 20, don’t worry. We haven’t and won’t forget about you. Stay tuned.)
